Hi, my name is Tom Holford and I am a design engineer with interests in innovative projects that require technical and user centered design approaches.
I graduated with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield in 2019, with a high 2:1 and a 1st in my final year project. Since that time I have worked at a biotech start up designing AI microscopes. More recently, I have joined the world leader in AR waveguide technology doing early stage R&D for augmented reality headsets and glasses, which has now been acquired by Snap Inc.
I enjoy working in highly collaborative environments where I have the opportunity to tackle broad, important engineering challenges. This is where I feel I can make the most difference and I firmly believe in the notion of learning by doing.
